Vuarnet sponsor of the Rumanian Ski-Biatlon Federation: Quality and research clothe the champions

The unmistakable Vuarnet style, expression of freedom, excellence and passion for sports competitions, comes on the scene with the Rumanian Ski Biatlon Federation. The opening of the next competitive season 2009/2010, scheduled as usual in October in Soelden (Aut) will see Vuarnet committed as sponsor of the Rumanian Ski Biatlon Federation.

For Vuarnet it is a big reward, also considering that in 2010 the French brand will celebrate its 50th anniversary. For the brand, appreciated since years for having combined high technical contents with an unmistakable elegance of the shapes, it is an important sponsorship in addition to the one of the French ski Federation, of F.I.S.I. and of Russian Federation.

It is an important sponsorship, which will give a worldwide visibility to the brand, increasing the brand awareness and opening new markets in the world. This sponsorship has its roots in the affection which joins CDA (The Company licensee of the brand Vuarnet) to Romania; the production sites, where all the garments for the 4 sponsored Federations as well as the garments of the collection are produced, are located since more then 20 years in Bacau (a small town 250 km far from the capital Bucarest).

Sponsoring the athletes of this Country which with its workers contributes to consolidate the quality guarantee has been a natural evolution.

Rumanian Federation of Ski Biathlon was established in 1924 and now counts about 2000 enrolled athletes and on the territory has 60 sporting clubs. As regards the Alpine ski the Rumanian Federation will be present with the brand Vuarnet to 2 Olympic Games (Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014), 2 Alpine ski world championships.

The models that the athletes of the Rumanian Federation will be wearing are distinguished by essential lines and ergonomic cuts, accentuated by contrasting black, red and white. And to create garments with an elegant style that are simultaneously technologically advanced, Vuarnet chose to use materials of the latest generation developed by excellent partners such as Gore-tex®.

The slim fitting, combined with the ergonomic cuts, permits to the athletes to experience every movement in total freedom with fabrics realized on purpose for the technical use in the sporting clothing.

Not to forgive the special fitting studied for the Female athletes which confirming the technical aspects of the garment will give our athletes a female fit which valorizes their figures.

The Gore-tex® Pro Shell® 2 Layers fabric, Gore-tex’s latest frontier for garments that keeps them waterproof a long time as well as being highly breathable, has been used for jacket and pants proposed. The jacket has a detachable hood, reinforced fabric patches on the shoulders, waterproof zips, ventilation points, neck and back warmer with fleece inserts, snow-leggings inside plus a number of functional pockets. The trousers have been created to go with these jackets, also in Gore-tex® Pro Shell®, with sides that open completely, a mesh bib with detachable straps, snow-leggings and waterproof zips. The Cape, fully model exploits the Gore-tex® Paclite fabric that makes it light with maximum protection against rain and wind. Technical features: fully taped, fixed hood, internal mesh and side pockets. But the Warm up packaging (jacket, pants and short) all in black colour exploits the Windstopper® Soft shell fabric that guarantees a total barrier against wind and, thanks to its breathability, keeps body heat properly balanced. A red Fleece Jacket warm, soft and beautifully comfortable, complete the range of technical garments.

The garments for leisure time are made by goose down jacket, long and short sleeve polos, wool hats, baseball caps, packs and trolleys.

For the Rumanian market a “Replica Collection” is coming: at the end of November faithful reproductions of the racing garments worn by Rumanian athletes will be available in selected selling points.
